Julien Faure is the Chief Technology Officer at Horse Technologies, a division of Horse Powertrain, where he leads the global technology strategy and the development of next-generation propulsion solutions.
With over three decades of experience in powertrain engineering, Julien, an engineer trained at the École nationale d’ingénieurs de Saint-Étienne and at IFP School (MOT, 1988), has been a key figure in the technological evolution of the Renault Group where he held positions of increasing responsibility related to design, calibration and software, and powertrain development : Diesel Engine Project Director, ICE and Transmissions Design VP, Alliance Global Director and PWT Technologies VP (inc EV).
As part of Horse Powertrain, hes is contributing to shape a more responsible, sustainable, and inclusive mobility future. Since July 2023, Julien leads Horse's Product Engineering team – with a presence in 7 countries across 3 continents – convinced that the challenge of decarbonization is so complex that it requires more than one solution. Therefore, he works on the development and research of solutions that drive the company's mission: to develop world-leading, low-emission, and highly efficient thermal and hybrid propulsion technologies as part of the solution to the global challenge: to promote decarbonization and facilitate the energy transition.
