Oscar Viguié, a student in the Energy Technology Economics and Management (ETEM) program, has developed “Energle ,” an online game focused on energy. The premise: guess a country based on its electricity generation mix.
Players must identify a country by analyzing the share of coal, gas, nuclear, or renewable energy used to generate its electricity. It’s a fun way to learn about major global energy balances.
“As a student in the ETEM program, I spend a lot of time thinking about how countries produce and consume electricity. I wanted to offer a more fun and engaging way to explore this issue,” explains Oscar.
The game features:
- a daily puzzle with six attempts and hints;
- a training mode by region or energy profile;
- access to each country’s energy history;
- a leaderboard to compete with friends;
- built-in game statistics.
