On Monday, September 7, participants in the Executive Master of Management in Energy (EMME) arrived at IFP School to begin Module 2 of their program.
This new class brings together 16 experienced professionals from the energy sector—10 men and 6 women—from 14 countries: South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Brazil, Cameroon, Colombia, France, Ghana, Luxembourg, Norway, Pakistan, Poland, Romania, and Venezuela.
The EMME is offered in partnership with BI Norwegian Business School and uses a blended learning format, combining in-person sessions with distance learning.
This new academic year marks a special milestone for the program, which celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2026.
During the first week of Module 2, the Class of 2027 explored several major energy issues: market trends, natural gas, the management and financing of hydrocarbon projects, technical and economic analysis, coal, and the strategies of oil companies in the context of the energy transition.
This first week concluded with a visit to the International Energy Agency in Paris. Participants attended three lectures on the institution’s operations, the oil market, and global energy outlooks.
The second week will be devoted to the fundamentals of the electricity sector.
The students will return to IFP School in March 2027 for Module 4, which focuses on the management and financing of renewable energy.
